We interviewed our esthetician Maria to find out why it’s important to change up your skincare routine and products for winter. Read on for her advice!
HYDRATE
Most people know that winter air is very dry, and dry skin gets easily dehydrated. Unfortunately, drinking more water isn’t the fix—only 3% of the water you drink goes to your skin! So it’s important to add a hydrating treatment to your skin, like Aveda’s Hydrating Treatment Lotion, which instantly boosts skin’s moisture.
EXFOLIATE
Another thing people should do in wintertime is exfoliate. Maria says she often has guests complain that their moisturizer isn’t working, and she notices that it is just sitting on top of dead skin cells, not being absorbed into the skin at all.
