Red Lips:
What comes to mind, or WHO comes to mind? We can all think of someone I’m sure, from Marilyn Monroe, to Gwen Stefani, to Taylor Swift. I’ve personally never been a huge fan of Taylor Swift but the songs on her latest album are so catchy that I ended up buying all of them! Shame on me, right? (no offense hard-core T.Swift fans!!)
A look with red lips is timeless and classic. Red Lips are so popular, they are even mentioned in many songs…. In fact, Taylor talks about her own red lips several times in her latest album 1989.

I honestly am more of smoky eye, nude lip type of gal, but every once in a while I pull out the red lipstick to mix things up. Red Lips really make a statement. Here at r Salon we have several beautiful red colors, we love Poppy and Cana, among others! There are so many different shades of red and there is a perfect match for every skin tone!!
Red Lip Tips:
Don’t do bold eyes AND lips! If you want those bold lips, careful not to go overboard with your eye makeup. This tends to look crazy….
Your lipstick will last longer throughout the day if you use a lip liner before applying the color. Start by outlining your lips and you can even fill them in with the liner (use a nude liner).
Make sure you check your teeth after applying. Nothing is worse than a red toothed grin!
