April showers bring Earth Month celebrations at rSalon & Spa, the best salon in Webster, NY. And this year, we’ve got even more to celebrate: we’re a Green Circle Salon!
As a certified sustainable salon, we recover and recycle up to 95 percent of our beauty waste, including previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes. That waste is shipped back to Green Circle, and they turn it into new products or clean energy.

Joining the Green Circle Family
We’ve joined more than 16,000 other Green Circle salons worldwide that are making a difference. Green Circle partners with more than 40 recycling facilities, chemical waste facilities, clean-energy producers, bio-composite plastic producers and similar companies to recycle, repurpose or dispose of salon waste safely.
Their “Green Guarantee” means all that beauty waste won’t end up in a landfill or waterway.
Making a Difference
The world is facing a climate crisis, and rSalon & Spa wants to be part of the solution. Green Circle Salons kept more than 1.7 million pounds of beauty waste out of landfills and waterways last year, and 203,000 kilowatt hours of clean energy was generated from waste to energy (enough to charge 13,500,000 smart phones!).
Green Circle Salons also kept 143 metric tons of single-use items out of landfills last year. That’s the equivalent of taking 10 cars off the road.
